3 DAYS, 3 STAGES, 2 ISLANDS
Extreme West Atlantic Adventure (EWAA) is a 3 stage trail running race that happens during 3 days in the Islands of Flores and Corvo, in Azores.
You can choose running the 3 stages or only 1 or 2 of them.
The spots are very limited. Transportation between the islands is secure only for those signing up for the 3 stages.
KV STARIRWAYS TO HEAVEN

The first stage, VK Stairway to Heaven (VKSH), on the island of Flores, take us on a journey of about 6.5 km from sea level in Fajã Grande to the highest point of the island, Morro Alto, with 914m of altitude. The trail starts in the Fajã Grande, a narrow strip of land, facing the Americas, with cliff with dazzling waterfalls, ending at Morro Alto.
INDIAN FACE TRAIL

The Indian Face Trail (IFT), 2nd stage, will take us from Vila do Corvo, passing by Cara do Índio, to the top of the smallest island of the Azores, where we are invited to descend to the Caldeirão and to surround the perimeter of the lagoon, a volcanic crater that was in the genesis of the island.
EXTREME WEST ATLANTIC TRAIL

In the last stage we return to the island of Flores for the Extreme West Atlantic Trail (EWAT), with a great volcanic landscapes, exuberant nature and lots of water. We will pass by lava and detrital fajãs like Fajã Grande and Fajãzinha, where numerous water lines flow, forming impressive waterfalls on the hillside, especially the Alagoinha Well, an idyllic landscape that includes a lagoon, cascades, high cliffs of dark rocks that contrasts with the green of the island's unique nature and the ocean in the background.
